Fraser Jackson

Fraser Jackson plays bassoon and contrabassoon in the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and has performed as a guest with orchestras like the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. He performs as much chamber music as he can, often with his wife, pianist Monique de Margerie. He has performed for thousands of schoolchildren as part of the TSO Woodwind Trio and the bassoon quartet that he co-founded, The Caliban Quartet, was known around the world for its ability to shine in almost any repertoire; their first CD, BassOOnatics! is still the best-selling bassoon album of all time. His CD with his wife Monique, Home Suite Home, was released in 2021 and has prompted listeners to say things like "beautiful", "wonderful" and "yowza."
